Any visitor or persons temporarily residing in our practice area who require access to GP services should contact our practice by telephone in the first instance. We will provide advice and assistance dependent on the individuals needs and degree of urgency. Patients will be offered appointments in accordance with availability which may be some days later and in line with patients already registered at the Practice.
Once you have completed some paperwork with our reception team, you will be registered with the practice as a whole, rather than a specific doctor but you have a right to ask to see a particular doctor, if you wish.
If you require a prescription, you should arrange an appointment to see a doctor to discuss your ongoing care. Our reception team will be happy to help with this.
Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a Practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
